Zaibatsu's Sprites & Facts Corner!

TAKAMARU

 

 

 

 

This is the main character from the obscure Nintendo Video game Murasame Castle, known in Japan as Nazo No Murasamejo. Takamaru and his enemies' cameos in Koei Tecmo's Samurai Warriors 3, exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. He was very easy to make due to his simplistic design. I Fraken-sprited Kojiroh and a few other samurai characters from Last Blade to make him look more unique than just a very lazy recolor.

MACH RIDER

He is the protagonist of the Nintendo NES game of the same name. He cameos in the Super Smash Bros. series, and his bike, the Mach Bike, is an unlock-able vehicle in Mario Kart Wii. I used Super Smash Bros. Crusade's Mach Rider sprite for the correct color scheme. Then I used the character Jagi from the Fist of the North Star Fan game for the upper torso. I then mixed the other parts with Krauser's legs from King of Fighters. I think Mach Rider came out pretty decent.

FAY SPANIEL

 

She is one of the playable characters in Star Fox 2 on the SNES. Fans speculate that she is the early incarnation of the ally character Bill Grey. I gave her a rebooted design. I used Fio's lower body and legs from Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and Mika from King of Fighters Zillion for the torso area. The head and tail area sprites are from Poochy, a silly character from Power Instinct Matrimelee. Other pieces I edited were from Dungeon Fighter Online sprites.

BLACK SHADOW

 

 

He is the main antagonist of the Nintendo racing series F-Zero. He has a very strong hatred to Captain Falcon, who has captured many of his subordinates as well as foiled many of his evil plans. He pilots the machine called the Black Bull. In the F-Zero anime, he created clones of himself, and even cloned Captain Falcon who was named Blood Falcon. I used the character Souther from the Fist of the North Star M.U.G.E.N. fan game, and other pieces I edited were from Dungeon Fighter Online sprites.
